Anyone have a sex machine?
It's a machine that uses an electric motor to push an arm forward and backward.
I have a machine and want to connect it to an Arduino Uno. I can write the code but have no idea about voltages and what not.
I intend to make the machine controllable from my laptop, make the machine thrust to music, maybe make it distance sensitive ect ect. Basically if I can work out how to rig the Arduino to the electric motor I can code it to do whatever I want. Hardware is not my speciality.

Hmm there were a few people who had one that used to be on here. Sybian IIRC.
I may be wrong here but @Captain-Smith-and-Lady-Jane didn’t you have one at some point?

As far as voltages are concerned, they’re normally between 5v and 12 aren’t they? 9v and 11v being the usual norm?

Mine uses the 240v mains plug with a power supply. The ardiuno is a microchip that can be reprogrammed.

The Arduino is a circuit board with a microchip that can be reprogrammed. It runs at 5v I think. The machine I have runs of the house mains and uses a power supply. I can't put the Arduino between the machine and the house electric without a motor controller or motor shield... Not sure.

Absolutely not. You’ll blow it. So you need a DC step down module / converter and I should imagine it would all have to be on its own separate circuitry. Some inverter or a circuit with more ohms/resistance in it I should imagine.
Anyway I found this, it could help you get going;

Its not a fear of trying one. I'd try most things at least once:). Its technology fullstop that causes my brain issues:rofl:x
You don't need to know how it works just how to plug it in and turn it on, then lie back and receive a good fucking the lazy way lol

Yes I'm just completely confused by most of what I've read as I'm not electrically literate. I'll post all my machine information when I finish work.
Okay will see if I can help and look forward to it. There’s bound to be a way. :) (y)

Hi hun, what you need is someone that is a dab hand at moving quick. Cheap mobile slim in design with a vibration mode. It has to be installed by a registered manufacturer aka a local supplier of good quality hardware. I have some experience with good tradesmen. Let me know if you need help xx

The machine can move way quicker with good thrust better than any human lol
What I need is advice from someone who knows about electronics or electrical engineering. The mobile app I can build myself, the desktop app I can build myself. Thanks for the advice. If I can figure out the hardware bit everything else is just code.

Will have another peek tomorrow. Seems pretty okay.
In the meantime; are you wiring for raspberry pi; or coding literally from scratch in iOS and Android?
You can code an Arduino on any machine and use the Arduino environment. The code used is pyphon.
