I've noticed a huge rise in people advertising for meets for 420 and Chem sex...
(Not on here)
Would you be happy to meet these people? I prefer people I meet to bebfully alert, not drugged up or p*ssed as a fart.
Am I old fashioned or too safety conscious or should I get with the times?

It's definitely on the rise all 'round. Not only 420 friendly etc but chem sex too. For us, while we're not offended by anyone doing what they choose to do - we'd not meet anyone under those circumstances.
Again drinks yes fine, but too many and being totally incoherent / inebriated? No.. not for us. x

Not my thing a few drinks to relax yes but nothing more, if you old fashioned in wanting to be fully wth when you meet up then so am I.

Chem sex is becoming huge. I recall only a few weeks back, there was a debate about it on R2 with Jeremy Vine. There was this young man on there who was highly active within the gay community. Due to the sheer increase of chem-sex, there was a like-for-like increase on rape and sexual assault as a result of the increase in drug use.
I have zero issues with anyone doing anything - even if here at ours for say just a get together and someone wants a smoke etc then that's fine by me. But meeting wise, no. It's too easy for someone to accuse you of anything while under the influence and I don't want either of us to take that chance.

we must live under a rock or something it's all new to us. Would never knowingly meet anyone that was under the influence of anything more than a couple of drinks.

It's not for us but we're glad people are upfront about it saves an awkward conversation later

I know this guy who works for the Home Office on policy concerning some very dark corners of human behaviour - slavery, child sexual exploitation, drugs policy - serious, sensible, intelligent.

His thing is to take crystal meth and GHB and get gang fucked.

For a bb, meth smoking cum slut, he is one of the most together people I know.

So, while there is a very reasonable perception of chem sex types... some do buck the trend.

It's something else. Really.

Yeah it really is. The guy I mentioned earlier was an ex Leuitenant in the army. Well educated... gay and a party animal. Got off his face regularly. Then one night was straight at a party and witnessed what was happening. He went on to write a book and set up a campaign about it. I wish I could find the info.
But Joe it seems it’s the same old thing aye: sex drugs and rock and roll.

No.

It's more than that and less than that.

I like sex. I like drugs. I like having sex with men... I've met people on the chem sex scene on more than a few occasions and witnessed it a handful of times. Um. I've been around the block and I've seen some amazing/outrageous/unbelievable things but, bottom line, I know myself well enough to know when I feel uncomfortable with the risks in any given situation and the chem sex scene poses some serious risks for participants.

1/ drugs - weed is one thing, or a bottle of wine with an evening in anticipation is one thing - but the GMTV combo (GHB [sexually enhancing downer], mephedrone [speed-like upper], "tina" [aka crystal meth] and Viagra [to keep you going] is quite a heady one. People get addicted. Not nice. I've worked with addicts.

2/ unprotected sex with multiple partners who you've maybe just met - can be accidental or intentional but is common. Bad idea. And the use of PrEP (wonder pill supposed to stop you from catching HIV) doesn't protect against other STIs.

3/ it leaves a hole where 'normal' sex is concerned. Chem sex is so overwhelming, intense, immersive - swimming in an expanding pool of physical and mental pleasure - that normal sex can feel dull. I've met people who rhapsody about what, objectively sound like a pretty horrid experience, because of the sensations and they struggle to enjoy sex unless they're in that mode.

4/ You never fucking cum. Just annoying.

It's nihilistic.

* that said, try sex on mushrooms with someone you love.... grrrreat!! :)

To me, it's not a problem what anyone does as long as it doesn't harm anyone else.

The fact is that drinking copious amounts of alcohol and smoking tobacco is socially acceptable, yet cuascauses more damage to the individual and society than recreational drugs ever have.

It's like anything else.
It's down to moderation.

I'm talking generalities here. Not specific to the swinging scene.

Would you rather meet someone whose falling over, spouting obscenities through having drunk too much or a young woman who's just had a bump of coke because it relaxes her and gives her confidence?

And please answer neither because that defeats the purpose of the argument.

I certainly know which I'd prefer and I'm not ashamed to admit it.

I've often thought how hypocritical it is when I hear (normally from middle-aged, out of condition, heavy drinkers what scum these "young 'uns" are because thay might take a pill at the weekend.

No offence intended to anyone and if this causes any I'll be happy to ask for the post to be removerd

Antogs xx

As a single girl, I get loads of guys asking if I I will meet them and they'll give me free sniff or ice, or if I'm 420 friendly. Only noticed it in the past 18 months. Also a lot of American bloggers post about masturbating while high, either solo or with strangers. 2 of the ladies often tweet about going into swingers clubs high, too. Just so dangerous.

I'm not offended by your opinion, but I'd meet neither. If someone needs coke or more than a couple of glasses of alcohol to swing, then in my opinion, they shouldn't be swinging at all.

Now that I have taken time to look into this further I can say with out doubt we would never meet with a pot head. I used to volunteer at a local rehab and have seen first hand what this so called harmless drug can do. Apart from the harm it causes think about who your paying and then tell me how ISIS is mostly funded. Then tell me again its not hurting anyone.

I'm afraid I disagree with most of that.

And I speak as someone who was a drugs/alcohol/mental health worker...
