Hello Sexy Peeps,
In this thread I will demonstrate and highlight detailed privacy settings for images and albums.
One query we here a lot of, and you may have experienced it yourself, is an album is set to show for people you follow only, or for people who follow you only - yet the people you follow cannot see the images.
This is mainly due to incorrect privacy settings. Now what happens is a little complex and fixing it is easy.
It occurs when the album is set for (example) people you follow only, but the images are also set with privacy settings. This means you effectively have a double negative and both permissions conflict.
So, to avoid this, you need to set the album privacy (example) people you follow only - but the images set for everyone to see. Otherwise, yes your followers technically have access to the album, but can't see any photos as you have locked them out.
The following images should help explain this;
Selecting your album;

Selecting Album Privacy; (note the images etc are for testing purposes)

Album Privacy Popup Menu; Here you can select how the album privacy is managed.

Accessing Photo Privacy Tools; Here you can select how the photo privacy is managed. You can also adjust further settings as highlighted in green..

If your album is set for followers only, you MUST set the images to 'EVERYONE' in order for your followers to see your images.

If your album is set for followers only, you MUST set the images to 'EVERYONE' in order for your followers to see your images.

Adding Images to a Privacy Controlled Album; When adding new images to an album that has privacy controls - you MUST set the images to 'EVERYONE' in order for your followers to see your images.

I hope this explains things a bit more.. Basically you can set your photos individually, but when adding multiple photos to an album, it is the album's privacy settings that ultimately control the photos settings. So you must enable everyone to view access, then the album will control who can view based on your chosen preferences.
If you have any questions or comments please do ask away, but take some time to read this thoroughly - if others cannot view your photos, if you have strict photo privacy controls in place.
Thank you!
