To make you feel good when going to a club?

It's great for the ladies they can dress up in their best sexy clothes and make themselves feel great, the Brucie's Bonus being we also get to enjoy seeing them at their sexy best, but what about us blokes?

We are going to DV8 @ The Annex next month and I've already asked if a dinner suit would be considered acceptable (which is is) and that's great because although I realise that you can't polish a turd it makes me feel good wearing it. :)

What do other guys wear to make them feel as if they have made an effort.

I always stick to the suit with tailored shirt. No tie, cufflinks (a must), and most important clean and polished dress shoes. (With bulled toes).

The other thing I've just thought of. My feet are absolute disgrace which probably comes from wearing safety boots all the time. When it comes to time to get naked I obviously can't leave my socks on as I'll look like a 70s porn star (minus the 10") so I'm thinking of a pair of slip on canvas pumps. What do you reckon?

I’ll be honest, I put 100% effort into dressing up smart. Usually new gear, new shoes etc. But always as immaculate as can be. Shirt, trousers, jacket.
Wearing a suit is really respectable I agree. (y)
I’ve worn kilts too but definitely smart shirt trousers and waistcoat or so.

I don't mind wearing trousers and a shirt but that's it..I just can't wear a suit and be comfortable I would sooner wear a pair of shorts and a sports top..for some reason though they won't let you in clubs like that..can't see the problem myself you can get undressed much quicker in shorts..w..

I think because of my size I just don't look right in a suit..because I'm in boots and a hi vis all week in work you sort of get used to casual..so I prefer more casual ...nothing to do with not making the effort I just can't relax in formal dress..w..

Now I like wearing a suit, especially a dinner suit just because it's so different from what I normally wear :)

The last club visit we did which was Xtasia for the birthday bash last year, I wore black trousers, an Oxford shirt and polished shoes as a minimum I think this is acceptable but I always say wear whatever your comfy in otherwise you run the risk of feeling like an over stuffed Christmas turkey!! Why don’t you treat yourself to a pedicure before you go, nothing like a bit of pampering or a week or 2 before, I find men & my hubby tend to forget about hands and feet (nails) I always look at a guys hands x

I'm starting to like the idea of a kilt again. Maybe ditch the New Rocks at my age though :)

The benefit of course is that you can leave it on when playing.

Remembering that ladies have a compulsion to have a feel to see if you are wearing anything under a kilt has no bearing whatsoever in my decision obviously. That would be pervy ;)

That's a nice idea but I think it would take more than a pedicure :(

More like amputation.

I’m sure it wouldn’t, I do pedicures on my friends & dad once a month he is 88 he loves it, describes it as having happy feet when I’ve finished lol

Probably. ;)

I think that demonstrates one of the differences between men's and women's replies.

Woman 1: "I'm getting too old for that"
Woman 2: "of course you're not dear you're in your prime blah blah blah blah blah blah blah"

Bloke 1: "I'm getting too old for that"
Bloke 2: "probably"

:)

Yes we’re a bit more straight like that aren’t we.
Mind I last wore one 5 years ago! For our bash.
Others have worn them though in their own colours / Tartans etc.
Hot but easy :sneaky:

Generally saying if you feel good in what you are wearing, it reflects in your whole demeanour , you stand taller and exude more confidence!

Well I bit the bullet and bought a kilt for Fet nights.

Now, do I stick with the dinner suit for DV8 or wear this teamed up with black ghillie shoes and a black ghillie shirt or even a dress shirt?

What do you reckon?IMG_20191030_135817.jpg

I find nothing works for me !!
Something will mate, you just need to think outside the box and work with what you've got (in my case a tea gut, wonky eye and missing teeth). You just need to find something that makes you* feel good and that shines through in the way you act. :)

i.e. do it for you, not anyone else.
