  1. .... can you be a swinger?

DEfinitions of swinging seem to be very variable and slippery to pin down but the best I could find online were:

    Urban Dictionary

Swinging is a lifestyle of non-monogamy where sexual relations occur outside the established couple. Swingers tend to refrain from romantic attachments with their outside partners, thus differentiating themselves from Polyamorists.

    Wikipedia

Swinging, also known as wife swapping or partner swapping, is a non-monogamous behaviour in which both singles and partners in a committed relationship engage in sexual activities with others as a recreational or social activity

Both of these definitions seem to define swinging as sexual activity outside of existing relationships. Neither makes mention of other peoples knowledge or permission.

    Your thoughts?

  2. I would say as a single you're not a swinger per se but have active involvement in the scene. Singles play an important role in that as much as some couples may prefer their encounters with other couples, others may prefer a threesome. The fact there's singles on SS is testament to that otherwise we'd have never been allowed in. My theory anyway. :)

  3. Very good point. I think perhaps it is the definitions that are wrong or perhaps need updating.

  4. Thanks bud. Perhaps the definitions were made by a single looking in rather than a couple's outlook.

  5. Which causes me to ask, if a swinging couple split up, do they stop being swingers?

  8. Another question for thought...are two singles who play as a couple but are not romantically linked actually swingers? My answer would be no but I'm sure others may not agree. :)

Swinging, we feel is when a particular set of dynamics all slot together, be that with couples, or singles M/F each produce their own levels of intimacy and challenges, all with hopefully the same outcome "orgasms" so in answer to the question, a swngle needs a certain something that the vanilla single has not got, and that's what makes them priceless in our books. Any swinging couple can go out and select randomly any person M/F, and blow their minds, metaphorically speaking, but for the person to do it successfully back with a couple, and blow thier minds too, is what's makes him/her very talented and worthy of being a Swinger Swingle
    Just our opinion xxxx
