Prince Charming Or The Beast?

@Pearls sleeping beauty tread got me thinking about fairy tales and they heroes and heroines. The aspect that got me wondering and thinking the most is which 'hero' makes you purr and why?

Prince Charming - An incredibly powerful and refined man, who's never know need or hardship yet still puts himself in a dangerous situation to save 'his princess'

Or

The Beast - A individual who is a bit rough, gruff yet can still be somewhat refined (even if uncomfortably) and because of his curse knows the hardship of isolation and (racial?) abuse likely leaving him emotionally scared. A man that is effectivly saved by Belle (not a princess just a young woman)
