No. I use a cradle and BT connection so totally hands free. If needed you pull over - bloody obvious really. Even handsfree can be dangerous , its a distraction.

I see no difference in drink drivers, our son has just passed his test and got a car, he turns his mobile to silent while driving and puts the phone in the dash so he can't get to it, we never thought he would but he's been brilliant x

How did we manage before mobiles eh...The problem is people want to answer the phone or make a call instantly. Ffs you leave a message or let them leave a message and you deal with it later. Lol I will shutup before I go off on a rant
I know someone who I worked with, a mum of a young girl, they lived in a quite road where the children would play out in the street, her little girl was out with friends when a car doing 30mph turned in on his mobile, didn't see the girl and hit her, dragging her to the end of the road as he was still unaware. She didn't survive and only got 2yrs... She was 5. X
I got run off the M56 by a woman texting at 70mph when she drifted into the outside lane as I over took her. Caused over £5000 of damage to my car and nearly killed me. She had no clue what she had done till the Police arrested her and showed her the CCTV footage. My phone is totally hands free but I don't often use it as it still distracts you.
Wow... That's some serious stuff right there. Hopefully you walked away totally unscathed and she got done for it.
Never used a mobile in a car, and never will. We all make mistakes, we've all gone a bit too fast, or quickly jumped the lights as they go from amber to red - but using a phone while in a car, you may as well not be driving full stop.
There's a saying we used to use from a course a few years ago; all vehicles are weapons, it's whether the person behind the wheel decides to make it one or not.
And it's true.
Im one of the lucky ones as I drive a merc so it automatically changes to hands free as soon as I get in car. Mobile phones and driving is a pet hate of mine and I wish I could blast my horn at them when they doing it but as there so engrossed in phoning I think it would cause them to panic and swerve or worse so sadly I don't I just give them a wanker wave
My mobiles are set to silent and chucked in my bag ive never been involved in a car accident but my ex of 13 years was, due to a mobile user that engrossed in his convo ,its left him minus a leg and he will only go in a car if he as too and then hes a complete wreck he actually takes a sedative before the journey ,its heartbreaking to see such mindless and thoughtless acts for the sake of parking up or waiting to the end of your journey to make or take that call

I've spent most of the last 3.5 years on the roads in London on a scooter and it shocks me (disgusts) at the amount of people I would see daily on their phones, whether in conversation or texting.
Lost count on the number of collisions I was lucky to avoid by spotting them on the phone and beeping to get their attention before they ran into me.
The law should be much more stricter than it already is given the danger people are potentially put in.

It's been known for truckers to be on the laptop at the wheel, these are supposed to be professional drivers you would think they would now better.

There are lots of things to distract you while you're driving, fiddling with the in car entertainment, kids squabbling in the back, conversation/argument with your passenger. But distractions don't just stop in the car, I tend to get distracted by the female form, especially if they're skimpily dressed. Nearly came to grief one day spotted a woman with baggyish shorts on she just bent over to deal with one of the kids an I got a flash of that big white smile you ladies sometimes get when under you bum cheeks don't get tanned, it was an "Oh Hello" followed almost "Oh shit where did he come from" moment
