In my teens I decided to have a go at skydiving. In those days we used ex forces double LL chutes. After many jumps I got up to jumping out at 10,000 feet freefall. One day I went out at 10,000 and opened my chute at 2,500 feet only to find that the chute had opened inside out and I was falling rather fast. I decided to try to right the chute instead of pulling the reserve. Silly git! I did manage, but at the same time hit the ground on my ass at speed. I spent many months on my back due to two cracked vertebra and a damaged neck. I still suffer with problems from that mistake.

When I was at Uni (first time round) I couldn't drive so had a moped. It was dark, about 9 pm and I was riding behind a bus down a narrow road with limited street lights. But as it pulled to the curb for the stop, I decided I didn't want to wait so I overtook only to see another bus coming at me in the opposite direction! I managed to steady myself on the white line in the middle of the road, in between both buses with probably less than half a foot either side.

Needless to say, I needed to change undies when I got home and lesson learnt.

I raced cars for 10 or so years which isn't really that scary if you know what you're doing but it's pretty scary when there's people around you don't know what they're doing or when you reach into your bag of talent & realise you can't reach the bottom of it.
The 3 scary moments I has were a guy who decided if he couldn't get past me he'd try to drive through me at Snetterton.
Then there was two at Brands Hatch, my first biggish off on the last corner of the last lap ( tyres must've been shot(n)) & one at Paddock Hill bend where I was forced to hit the inside kerb harder than I wanted to, I was already sliding sideways & it put me on two wheels, not quite sure how I survived to make the next corner

Yes.. way way way too many things to even go into. I'm one of those people who just used to do stupid things for a laugh. Irresponsible and stupid mostly. But had a LOT of fun doing such things.

Even jumped out of a moving car doing 30 once .. Not cricket. :palm:
Shot a mate in the arse.
Raced motorbikes at ridiculous speeds in country lanes and built up areas. 80mph wheelies... Swallowed knives..
Burnt my arm with cigarettes to make a hole so I could burn through a £20 and win it. Still have the scars and that used to get me in a lot of hot water.

Told a load of English football hooligans in a Karaoke bar to sing the Welsh national anthem and f.. off, in Majorca with HRH at my side.
Mrs on the other hand - nothing like that or my way inclined for that matter with danger etc. Far far tamer.

Absailed off a 60 foot viaduct, I'm afraid of heights, managed to get over the edge in a snotty mess crying and wailing could not feed the rope properly through and descended straight down and passed out before I hit the floor! Lol
