Chat Rooms

Just out of interest, do you regular members use the chat rooms or chat function?
Most of our conversations are on the forums or on PM's. Are we just not seeing chat alerts or are the chat functions not used often?
We could count on one hand how often we've used the chat/chat room function since creating a profile (disregarding the quiz of course).

We're just being nosey and wondering if others used it.

To be honest we prefer a PM, and I find it helps to keep track of what you're saying, I have the memory of a goldfish and sometimes can't remember what I said!
I find you can get a bit more cheeky on pm! :yoda:

Very rarely use chat, unless its site related.. i would rather mingle with everyone, on the forums if im honest.. If i want to speak with someone on a more, personal level.. i will PM. X

It's easier on pm or time line as you can keep a track of history..
Chat is just a quicky...
But hardly use it.

i have popped into the chat rooms when its not quiz night and have found them empty most of time plus i have difficulty keeping up with chat as it goes too quickly, I got accused on another sites chat room once for ignoring a person when it was missed because the room goes too quickly and i just can't keep up, much prefer pm and forums

As someone new here, just a "thanks" to all involved in this thread... helped me understand that chat function is the rarity rather than the usual and PMs are more common for one to one communication. Thanks again...

Yeah seems we've tried so many things and aside from the quiz, it's indeed a rarity.
People prefer 1-2-1 or simply PM's for this, forums et al aside of course.

Suspect the 'new chat the following day loses the previous chat transcript' makes a difference.

I have to say I use a mix of both pms n chat depending on how I'm contacted

I usuallly contact by pms

I prefer pms
Notification often are Missed


I'm useless in the main chat my poor phone doesn't cope n I get huge lag even when I clear the cache thingy Bobby

A lot of that will depend on a few things;
What make/model phone you have and how old it is
How good your Internet connection is if on Wifi or if using 4G/3G how strong the signal is
Any other background apps using up resources.

The chat is similar to using any other chat software and requires some resources to run, so it's always best to close down any other apps, have clean signal and network and then come in. That way it will be free to use the resources required. x

You won't need to be fast at typing, it's not like the quiz.. but more a case of; get the Brandy out, sit down, grab a drink, have a perv I mean view at some people's pics and guess who they are. x
