Why don't we say 150 years, that'll put it right in the middle of the Victorian era; waxed moustaches, antimacassars and tea in the parlour, then slap-and-tickle upstairs with the gaslights turned down low.....
Jolly good show I say!

It would have been George I to George IV
* The Georgian period also includes a William (IV, btw Britain's most tattooed monarch) before the throne passed to his niece, Victoria, in 1837. Then we have, duh, the Victorian period, until 1901.

But we're not quite a hundred years away. The immediate post-Victorian, pre-war phase is known as the Edwardian era, named after Victoria's son, Edward VII.

I'd probably steer clear of the Western Front...

I'd be tempted to pop over and see how the Russian revolution was lurching from crisis to crisis. Maybe I'd visit the Grand Fleer at Scapa Flow.

Maybe go see New York in its heyday. Travel to India... Singapore... Shanghai...

As an example; we both feel that @SuperKing1981 and @Therapon would make spiffing bankers. Black suits, top hats, quills, cheque books, and that stiff upper lip with a pocket watch and monocle
Haha..I will take up that offer. Have my suit ready! Will check my bank account before I get my. Cheque book out in front of you lot.

Done, should stop the semantics.
Absolutely! Imagine how some members here would be? I genuinely think for example, that you both would fall right into place in this era. How wickedly rude!

I see @Admin as a ringmaster; boots, top hat, big twirly moustache, riding crop and @Pearls as his showgirl, dressed in the latest Paris fashions, holding a tiger on a chain, tempting us all in to their Show of Unearthly Delights

I see @meandlis as an innkeep. Always polishing a glass with a mucky rag listening to your woes, seller of information

First person to call me 'stout yeoman of the bar' will get a bop on the nose and a lifetime ban from Ye Olde Cockwelle Inn
