Her Brain.

Everything you need for an all-night party ... his and hers Viagra

"Pfizer set up a female sexual dysfunction unit a few years ago, comparing Viagra in women to a placebo, but the study had to be stopped because 85 per cent of the women responded to the placebo. It seems that even the very idea of Viagra is enough to make some women aroused."

Apparently even if a woman displays physical signs of arousal she is not going to be automatically sexual aroused but in men it is almost always inextricably linked.

Damn that is where I have been going wrong all these years.

In fact only a bloody chauvinist would have started such a thread!
Let's have one about how lucky we to have tampax so we can still mop the floors without dripping blood on it.
Yes men
We women are blessed that you care about our ability to cook and clean while having that 5 mins in our quiet lives when we can't have sex!

Christ!
What are you like

So do you prefer
tampons
Towels
Or still wash out your rags?

Short answers only please as apparently our brains can't take such complex answers. And no I am not on my period!
Rant over..
Unless some clever man responds

Have a nice day
I have ironing to do if I can figure out how it works

Ouch! (Disclaimer: I am a man, think like a man and have a penis so my views may be distorted). My take on that it says women have to be emotionally invested to be aroused where with men it's pretty much physical. If so, I would say its a statement of an obvious difference between male and female rather than a degradation of women. Or am I missing the point? (Wouldn't be the first time!)

The pharmaceutical company involved decided that women needed a boost to their sex drive based on a survey carried out where it claimed women had a low sex drive.
The survey mainly carried out by men assumed that a pill could fix a woman!
Unlike the blood supply leaving our brains to another part of our body, causing an inability to function once an erection occurs, they discovered that our brains stay focused and that it needs stimulating beyond the capacity of a pink pill.
Once this was discovered they gave up. Typical of most men I know.
Showing us a picture of a cock only makes us think that the man is a cock.
However showing a man my pussy or nipples (are you still focusing?) arouses them....
Obviously our brains are different.
Instead of asking the husband about his sex life to discover we always have a headache or low sex drive... ask the woman why she is not in the mood..... if you dare!...

This will sound silly but I used to wonder if I had something wrong with me because even though I have been aroused by pornographic pictures excetera what arouses me more are thoughts. When all my friends bought porn mags I bought forum magazine and I prefer to read about sex then look at pictures of it. Of course the chemist's stop work on this pill when they realised that women don't need it so therefore there was no sales to be made and as We Know unless there's a pill to be sold Medical Profession wipes its hands of the problem.

You were not being silly.
Most men go straight for the kill..
Let's be honest that is the biggest turn off on the planet. Hate being an object and used for male relief.
It's my terms or piss off.
And no pill will change that

EH!!! Have I missed something?
Bloody @Admin and his pathetic 2 min rule.
Some people have the intelligence to type a response that takes longer than 2 mins to edit..
Never mind.. as per the test above which was carried out by a chauvinist our voice is insignificant..

While I don't want to really get too involved in the threads' discussion atm, this is a technical point that was brought to my attention this morning.
And as such, it needed extending (the editing time) and have done just that. Long overdue adjustment needed to be honest.

Fair enough. The background you talk about was not evident in OP and I'm not familiar with the research so can't respond based on the background. That said, I think it's fact that men are more likely to be turned on by visual stimuli and women are turned on by emotions in general. This partly explains the difference in behaviour but does not excuse a lack of consideration (yes, most often by men) of their partners needs. I hope that I am in the caring mutual enjoyment camp rather a bull-at-a-gate merchant but, by definition, am not qualified to know for sure!! Whew - I'll leave this up to Robert Winston (oh no! a man!) and start my Friday night! :)
