Maybe make people verify they want to block someone as it stands one click is all it takes which is easily done by mistake or at least i just managed to by mistake
I can see why people would need to block on other sites but I have always maintained there is no real need here with the moderation we have in place.I am against blocking for a whim this is a grown up site not kids play ground. If some one has a genuine grievance. the rulers in charge should investigate and if required block offenders. We are all suppose to be grown up !

If someone displays this type of behaviour towards another member - specifically in public threads, posts or messages then there is a report function which we can then act on.I agree, but you said that because how this site is moderated that blocking isn't needed. I've never blocked anyone, ever. Period. For me it represents the ultimate failure of imagination, a failure of people to communicate with each other in this medium.
