Hello Marcus,
Whilst we have been there ourselves, without doubt Mr @Steed99 should be able to assist you further with all of your queries etc.
There are a lot of regulars also here who can help you with many of the questions you will have.
All the very best
Regards

Hi Marcus. Glad you will be joining us at The Vanilla Alternative on Friday. The doors open at 8 and although most people on a Friday do not arrive until a little later, it's an ideal time for a first timer to be shown around the club and meet the staff team. Dress code is smart casual and everyone is really very friendly.

I've personally been attending on most Friday nights for the past 4 years and have made friends with lots of really nice people. As it happens, more recently I have also been helping out on Saturday nights too, meeting and greeting, and helping out generally (well it's better than staying at home on my own and watching Strictly or X-Factor!)

Etiquette is generally to be yourself. Talk to others in the bar and snug areas (established swingers are expecting others to come and talk to them), be respectful, and in the hot tub and play areas, don't make contact with others until you have their approval that it's OK to do so.

It's a great club and although Friday nights are very unpredictable from one week to another, I'm sure you will have an enjoyable evening.

We, as a couple, have only been to a club night once where single guys were permitted. None of whom seemed to talk to anyone in the bar/ social area, but just wandered around the playrooms waiting to be invited to play.
This may work for some, but I (GG) found it most off-putting. My advice (for what it's worth) it to be friendly, chatty, engage with people, couples (him too, not just her).

Club nights at The Vanilla Alternative generally follow the same pattern on both Friday and Saturday nights. People come into the club between 8 and 9.30ish and socialise in the ample bar and snug areas. They layout of these areas is ideal for this and single guys (there is usually a maximum of 10) seem to have no problem with getting involved in conversation with couples, single ladies or other guys. Sometimes this is one to one or more usually as part of a small group.

A buffet is brought out around 10ish, after which people drift down to the hot tub where the socialising continues. The majority of single guys are semi regulars who know many of the other visitors, and lead by example. New visitors follow suit. At VA's it's an open play format so everyone can see everything that goes on so there is no need for single guys to be following every couple or lady that makes a move (as happens at several other clubs). If couples really do want to be away from the single guys, there is a dedicated couples area with lounge and play room, but some Friday nights it never gets any use at all.
