Genuinely no idea, but on two occasions in the past when I’ve stepped away, it was thouroughly intended to be permanent.

Both times were because I was getting pissed off with everything in the scene, and I wanted to walk away before I started getting pissed off with everyone in the scene.
Lots of people take a step back from it, for all sorts of different reasons then come back, it's good sometimes as you said otherwise if it's going to lead to something sour then it could ruin any potential return, but just taking a step back just to have a breather is as well, sometimes it's needed.

Couldn’t agree more. I’ve stepped back a few times, taking weeks or even months out, but almost always intending to return.

On two occasions, though, I very definitely expected that was it, that I was done with it and wouldn’t return. As it is, for two very different reasons (one in each case) I did come back.

Here’s hoping you stick around this time x
