Im typing on my phone now WISHING i had had a case on and a screen protector when it got dropped and the screen took the brunt of it. It still works, so i refuse to waste money on a new one. Just have to keep changing the clingfilm its wrapped inx

I have had my current iPhone 6 for over 3years considering the industry I work in dropping it happens but it’s always been in an “Otter Box ..Defender” keeps it dry dust and water free and so far touch wood I haven’t broken it .... just replaced the old box for a new one in a rather fetching shade of orange and grey .... I even have a Hi viz jacket for my phone ... and for less than £15 its well worth the money and not too clunky ...

I have never broken my own phone and normally only ever replace it when the kids rib me about it. Having said that i have a works phone and i have broken a few of them over the years. Broke 1 the day after they fitted a tracker to it by dropping it down the loo. Like i said at the time whats the chances of it happening again must have been the tracker making it slipery.

Definitely got a case with tempered glass. These smart phones ain’t cheap. I despair at seeing shattered screens thinking if only they took care and a bit of foresight

I am so clumsly that my phone has a gel cover and a tempered glass screen protector and so glad for them as i dropped my phone onto my beer glass one night whilst falling asleep in bed and it cracked the screen protector. That reminds me must get another tempered glass protector to replace it

Our son has been going about with a smashed screen for ages think it's just part of being a modern child bit like bruises were signs of a child years ago

My phone is built like Fort Knox with 3inch toughened glass and mercury warning alert for slow motion falls and self ejecting parachute Cxxx

I'm with you all with kids and smashed screens.
I usually have the screen protector, but recently took it off as it was annoying me. Really could do with getting another.

I've just got a brand new iPhone 8 and there's no way I'm spoiling it's beautiful, sleek and shiny lines with anything.
Having said that, with it having a glass back(albeit rated as extremely strong) every time I get it out of my pocket I think I'm bound to drop it as it's so damned smooth and slippery

I suppose, for blokes, it's a bit like wearing a condom....you know you should use one but it feels so much better without one

And yes, I know that's led to many regrets (both not wearing a condom and not having a phone cover)
Well, I'm willing to wear willy protection but not phone protection....I'm such a rebel
