Is The Lgbt Community Actually Homophobic? You May Well Be Surprised..

So,
We have a few gay friends (both male and female) and one lady in particular is a staunch rights' activists and openly calls her friends queer and queens etc. but is a real champion of equality for all. Anyway, she openly has told us before that the LGBT(QI?) community is actually homophobic.
You probably are thinking; wtf is he on about again now? right? Well.. apparently the LGBT(QI?) (I need to make a keyboard Macro for this ) is actually homophobic towards people who identify themselves as bi, as pansexual or in other words, not fully gay, not fully queer and so on.
They believe that being bi and pan is more fetishised than anything else, or that old 'slogan' - being greedy.

Well, the debate it seems has reared it's ugly head again;
'My sexuality was doubted by my own community'
Is biphobia something you are aware of? Have you ever experienced it? Ever seen someone suffer from it?
It certainly made me think about the comments from @Richandpixie yesterday, who had seen an increase of homophobia/biphobia elsewhere towards bi people. x

I have never come across this but it doesn't suprise me. People always like to form cliques and/or attach labels to others so if you don't meet the clique criteria or you can't attach that label to them then that person is obvious weird.
I don't want to detract from the thread but reading some of the threads over the last week or so I would question if swinging is sexist, it certainly appears to be at times.
Similarly Fet people can catagorise others into kink groups with similar results to the LGBT community.

It never ceases to amaze me how people often victims of intolerance can then be intolerant towards others.

Human beings are stoopid

Interesting. As a straight man who went to boys school I thought long and hard about the subject in my past. I've always been aware of my sexuality and it's straight. But as I think I've said somewhere once before I read an article in a magazine in my teenage years that gave me a better view of the subject of sexuality and shaped my Outlook forever.
Sexuality. Forget about gender it's the wish or liking for interacting in a physical way with another person. That might be the sole and only interest of cock and pussy but could also be pussy and pussy cock and cock. In a nutshell sexuality is the interest and sensual act of driving pleasure from someone other than yourself.
Ok so what is gender or orientation?
Well the article I read many years ago made the comment that there is no such thing as heterosexual bisexual or gay. After all where do you draw the line? Matches I consider myself straight I'm not upset at the idea of another man's leg rubbing mine during sex and indeed I have a nice memory of pleasuring another woman whilst we were both in contact. I wasn't getting pleasure from that contact but I wasn't upset by it either. Linda sexuality he said she enjoys sex with either men or women and that the act of sex itself is pleasurable the matter who. There are men and women who fully enjoy sex with members of the opposite sex I know those who enjoy with anyone and those who enjoyed mostly with their own sex but these are all on the grey scale there is no black and white.
So what about this LGBT attitude? Well in a world where there is no dividing line it smacks to me of exclusivity. I guess the thing is the ones who call themselves gay or lesbian are having a go at bisexual people and trying to make out that they are just gay people who don't want to admit it or are frightened. They don't want to be part of an entire world where people are just people oh no they want to be able to label themselves as part of a particular community the LGBT community and as such because they're part of that not part of the OTHER people.
Forget labels we are just people who like to have sex who is and how that manifests itself is just a matter of personal preference the world is wide stop trying to label and compartmentalize.

Oooooops I missed a bit out, my mind ran faster than my typing, sorry.

Honestly if they are powerful elements within the LGBTQI (or LGBT+ if you prefer) community that are homophobic, transphobic, or biphobic I wouldn't be surprised, in my experience any group devoted to representing a 'community' is normally interested mainly in promoting itself and becoming the 'community' leader.

I experience it on the regular but I don't take it personally or get upset about it anymore. I find in my local LGBTQ+ community the majority of people are very open and accepting. Also quite progressive and very inclusive when it comes to the topic of pansexuality and trans.

There are so many social situations where people have either said 'you are actually a lesbian or you are actually straight, and you must choose what team to bat for' To them I say f*ck off, when it comes to love and attraction for me it goes beyond someone's gender. I tried to be just straight or just lesbian many times when I was younger, and I came to the same conclusion.
Some people who identify as gay have done this to me too, but the majority for me personally is from people outside of the community.
