Meeting in an adult bookstore

I'm in the US.
On a US swing site a woman contacted me and thought she knew me.
Asked if i had met her at a local adult bookstore.
It wasn't me, end of conversation.
But, I had never been to this store so i looked it up online and they have private rooms for viewing DVD's before you buy them.
And the store is a national chain and in other areas they banned the private rooms and access to other people in other rooms for sex. I assume they meant holes in the wall. Undercover police had made arrests, but apparently not if all parties consented and money was not exchanged.
I have only heard of stores like this in areas that are more liberal than the area i am in .
I have never heard of this in my area and i am wondering if such stores exist in Britain and is it a place that you would meet someone in?
Have you/ would you have sex in a private video viewing room?

Crickey ? if we have then they’re hush hush ? I know there are back rooms in the local sex shops but I’ve never been in, I don’t know what goes on in there but you see guys going in where there are dvds. Bit sleazy in a back street but who knows what tickles your dooberries ?

Back when I was but a teenager there was the "Private shop" ,that was actually thier name. They sold adult magazines, videos, toys lingerie etc. The magazines on display where stronger than the top shelf fair you could get from a newsagents similar with the videos, the real hardcore stuff was allegedly in the back room or under the counter. I don't recall there being rooms to preview videos, I could be wrong, I had no means at home to watch so they never really interested me. Holes in walls, we Brits would call glory holes usually to be found in a toilet cubicle somewhere out of the way. I only ever came across similar in clubs.

This was my opinion, that average swingers wouldn't go there. More of an unsafe back alley thing.
But the store near me is not in that type of neighborhood.
Guess i will have to go check it out and see what type of place it is.
I remember years ago, maybe 40, an adult bookstore opened in that location. Just porn mags, videos and toys.
Neighbors protested.
So i doubt they are alowing private video viewing rooms.
But thier website advertises it.

Never seen one in the UK - wouldn't know where to look! - but I've seen adult shops in the middle of city centres in Spain that have them.

I see you have a Private Shop in Moorfields next door to the Lion Tavern, but thats about all. I know Liverpools a big city so it's likely to be some distance but not a million miles.

I have been in three sex shops, they just sell the usual magazines, toys, and videos. One in Leicester city centre one in Nottingham and another in Soho in London of course. I wasn't aware of any back rooms or illicit prostitution but then I wasn't looking for that, I just like porn ??
