Was looking for something earlier and I was reminded of this… and couldn’t see a thread on it, so thought I’d set one up here, just for the hell of it.
So, what do you do when you recognise someone in the scene from ‘real life’ on here, or when they recognise you? Could be a friend, or a relative, or I dunno, your optician, or your neighbour. Obviously, it’ll depend on the people, and the circumstances in which you recognise them (on a site, at a club, at a party… seeing them being fucked in the bedroom at a party is going to be different, say, from merely recognising a picture on a profile.)
What made me think of it was the attached, which I’ve merely repeated from another post, months ago.

Think I mentioned before, when i was on Another Site, I discovered someone-I-know’s profile. And, by my looking at theirs, they discovered mine.
Neither of us quite knew what to say. Fortunately, we were both at a party a few days later. We went out for a chat, and I left it entirely and wholly ‘up to her’; we could acknowledge it, and chat about it, and talk about our individual experiences... or just pretend we didn’t know each other was on the site and in the scene. (Should stress that I very, very much was not who she was looking for, on the site - age, body type, sexual preferences - and vice versa.)
She said she’d prefer the latter, so we each left each other a verification on the site saying how lovely the other was, and for people not to pass them up... and then we consciously never referred to it again to each other.

There’s also been a situation where I’ve recognised from a non-face photo, from a tattoo and the background, the sister and brother in law of a close friend. Again, they’re really not looking for someone like me, so I’ve never told them I know, and as far as I know, they’re not aware of me in the scene.
What about you?
