Thanks so far everyone for sharing, it’s good to know how everyone feels and it’s surprised me some of the responses. As the old saying never judge a book by its cover x x x x S x x

It may not have looked it to some but at the social last year when I was walking around in underwear and then naked with lots of people about took me completely out of my comfort zone, showing pics naked is one thing for me and that took me a while to do but walking around in front of people naked showing all the wobbly bits is another thing entirely. Doing a sexy dance for Neil a couple of years ago for the first time took me out of my comfort zone too and it turns out I actually enjoyed it and I have done it again since on numerous occasions. Sometimes as long as it is not making you feel uncomfortable it is good to push yourself and do something you would not dream of doing.

A comfort zone is basically anything in our lives that is familiar and we feel at ease with and in control of. As soon as we step outside that zone we start to feel anxiety or stress.. soooo for me one big thing is being organised (anal as some might say!), I have job that requires huge patience and minute eye for detail, give me a job I don't understand and it flips me.. Same in life I love to be organised.. spur of the moment stuff.. there I am outside my comfort zone..
I'm pushing my boundaries a lot lately and have to say the adrenelin buzz can be amazing..thus #wingingit.

The kinda things that are outside my comfort zone tend to be quite heavy.

I know exactly what I like and where my red lines are, sexually, and I'm unlikely to stray far beyond.
Actually, thinking wayyyyy back, I had a terrible teenage body-image issues.

Plenty of aversion therapy (ie screwing people) cured me of that. Or maybe I came to realise that the way I see myself isn't necessarily the same as how others view me.

I'm the same with work, but luckily I dont have the anxiety that comes with it. I have to agree with you on being anal and organised, it kills G sometimes but its how I am! I have learned to be more spur of the moment, but its hard work! S xxxxx

Not really. I've had a somewhat unusual life and been is some very strange/occasionally dangerous situations. I'm a good judge of character, situation and (mostly) risk.

I tend to think that, Well, I've done X, Y and Z before, so surely I can manage this situation...

Would you, for instance, go on holiday on your own for a month in a foreign country?
Ever been threatened at knife/gun point?
Ever escaped from the police?
Been charged by police on horseback?
Been in a riot?
Ever got drunk and slagged off your CEO in front of senior management?
At ease with junkies and royalty?
Any good with alcoholic schizophrenics?
Road traffic accidents, emergencies, people bleeding and screaming...

I've never been to a war zone or been in a major disaster (one earthquake, but I slept through that) and I'm not really keen to.

Fear is a healthy human reaction but it is not a reason to not do something.

Yep, sometimes it takes someone to see these things in you and to encourage you to reach out and push those comfort zones.. thank you to that person, you know who you are. Tx

To alot of these is a yes, but would rather not say which ones.
Sometimes fear is something that is a reason to hold you back, the fear of the unknown.
I have to agree with you children scared the shit out of me, but did it wouldn't look back and to be honest some of the other things I'm glad I did. S xxx

No worries bahah! I don’t actually know, I’ve had anxiety since I was a kid and like there are so many “triggers” like yanno, just gotta ignore the anxious thoughts and do what you wanna do
