Nobody around for miles .
Suddenly, firetrucks and police cars and flashing lights and sirens all around us.
But they never came over to us.
Our best guess was a false alarm. Somebody called in a major car accident and when they didn't find it, they just left and didnt bother to ask us if we had seen anything.
Fortunately, somebody didnt call in that my car was on fire.
"Well, yes, the car was on fire but we took off our clothes and used them to beat the flames out"

We we're on holiday a few years ago in Porthmadog.. We used to go on the Ffestiniog railway quite often.. I said to Mrs h that station always looks deserted when we pass.. It's right in the hills of snowdonia with no vehicle access.. A couple of days later I said we should get off at that quiet station.. Long story short we had just finished in the station shelter and as I'm cleaning myself up Mrs h said quick get your shorts on.. I pulled them up quickly just as about 50 ramblers went walking along the platform.. I just sat there watching them all walk past and into the woodland... A few seconds earlier and they would have caught Mrs h with her mouth full... W..

Yes. When this pic was taken we heard voices close by, what we hadn't realised was that there was a rarely used path not far from where we were.

Sounds a bit like us.. Trouble is we heard voices ut the ramblers were already walking up the platform.. We didn't realise it was a footpath from Blaenau Ffestiniog.. W..

There wasn't much I could do about had they been nearer, they would have had an unexpected view
