I can be protective, especially if the person is less confident and feels they can't join in. But on the whole, I'm sure most are capable of looking after themselves.

I agree with both Kwaka and Pearls. I can be exceptionally protective but only where the person is okay with me being protective. Otherwise, I mention concerns if any come up, and let them do what they will with the information

I think if you have concerns over things then it something you should discuss with friends,it’s a protection thing yes but it could also stop a friend walking into a situation that turns out bad …
Ultimately they have to make their own decisions but forewarned is fore armed …
