Horror films don't scare me. Not even a ickle bit. I think I'm desensitised to it now. I liked Saw cos of the creepy twist but most modern horror seems to be garbage.
Fave Films I watched as a kid (bad parenting from my Mam):-

Poltergeist.
Hellraiser.
Nightmare on Elm Streets.
The Wishmaster.
The cube.
Gremlins.

Special mention to the Ghostbusters. The Librarian ghost scared me to death, gave me nightmares and made me cry. I hid behind the couch.
The creepy zombie thing that comes out of the Super computer in Superman 3 also scared me.

Eden Lake! Evil film. Not scary but very uncomfortable viewing. Lots of cringing and so realistic it could happen to any of us kind of film. Hated it for how uncomfortable it made me feel. Me no likey.

I agree very uncomfortable viewing and can actually happen which is scary, the way that poor couple were tortured was something else and way to realistic, but on a plus note no disadvantage chickens were hurt in the making of this film

One remake worked being The Postman always rings twice original was knocks twice.
Mr Jack Nicholson got it dead right.

I confess, I cannot and will not watch horror films, there are a number of reasons for this, but suffice to say, I am not built that way
