Ok here goes.
With any business you will have competition, in this game it’s always a game of competition in more ways than one but the basics are the same as any other business, the secret is, not to worry about it and use it to your advantage. I take it as a compliment that a very popular site nick our ideas and put them into practice, it shows we are doing things right and hats off to them for doing so, it shows that bigger companies haven’t got the same thinking even with all those millions.
What the biggest problems are.
Security number one. This is a huge problem for 99% of swingers for two reasons, one purely because they are genuine and want protection and they have exactly that here.
Security number two. For fakes they can’t proceed here, it’s just too difficult to bypass such security so they give up and go to a site where they can get passed the entry and spend years passing themselves off as dirty di when they are actually John doe.
That site doesn’t care as long as they are paying a fiver a month so let them carry on. Should we do the same and have 99% of this site fake?
Then of course we have the guys who get recommended to come here, love the place, get lots of meets, attend socials and then get dragged onto the other site. One in particular lately who we have met, loved this place, we have met them, enjoyed their company and they really promoted us, covid hit and for obvious reasons things went quiet and now they are trying to organise events on another site which is right under our nose. If you are a small shop owner, how would you feel if a friend of yours opened a Tesco express next door?
This site was created by a community of people who couldn’t stand being in an environment that was full of unpleasantries, you will never know what goes on behind the scenes, you will never know what we have experienced as every day human beings and you wouldn’t want too but we do it for you and always have. You can only be a gossiper to understand and there is a lot of it in this game.
We now have to contend with clubs starting sites due to covid, good luck as you’ll need it, there is a whole difference to running something virtually than it is in rl.
As for the future of the scene, who knows! This was always about the community and not for profit, if it were for profit then we would have walked a long time ago,we have always and still do cover all costs for this site including the engineers that you don’t see that keep it going. Should we carry on knowing that the safe place everyone wanted isn’t wanted anymore?
We never wanted to be a big site with millions coming in every year but have only asked for support. We do not want a fake site, a fantasy, a promise that isn’t there. We only want a community of genuine people who want to use this platform. It’s your platform to do what you want! You have everything at your finger tips so use it.
Promote what you want as long as it doesn’t promote anything that is illegal or breaks rules.
Drama will be at every corner, we’re human after all but we have a good site here, it just needs more support from everyone. I know many people who would be devastated to see this place go. It’s a home to many and please don’t take that away by taking these people away from a site to go somewhere that they won’t survive five mins.
I would hate to see this site be another corner shop go due to the big boys selling for cheaper but you get a no frills service.
As for suggestions then they’re in there somewhere, social media is definitely key and google ads in my opinion ???
