This question is prompted by my own personal situation. Just wondering how many of you got into swinging after being couple or were winners before getting together? And if one of you was and the other one wasn't how did you bring up the subject and ask them if they wanted to join in?
For the record we both have been swingers before meeting and it's been a delightful revelation to find we both are.

well slowly slowly because we have only known each other for a couple of weeks but she has been swinging for a few years longer than me both alone and with partners. We both have similar outlooks and sexual interests and have clicked very well. We both want to be very close to each other first and solid before we have a play but we are both unanimous in wanting to watch each other enjoy. In fact the only difference between the two of us that is significant is that she's bi and I'm not.

After but since we meet on an adult site we already had an inkling that we might explore it. We tried in the states but found that it was very clicky and we didn't find a place where we fit. Since moving to the UK we have had more experiences and decided it was not harming our marriage but meeting some needs outside of our love for each other. been on a long break due to health issues for me (Ken) but after a few surgeries I will be back in the "saddle" again so to speak lol. (when I see that I always think of the line form the song "He comes from Texas he rides a BIG white horse" (no I def not big at all lol))

Neither of us were swingers as such although we both did some late teen / early twenties group-sex. Since then we've both been hmmm let's say 'adventurous' when married to our very vanilla exes, him without his exes knowledge or approval but her ex didn't mind as long as she didn't do it at home. We soon both admitted we needed variety in a relationship, so decided to visit La Chambre, prompted by watching a porn DVD made in the club and featuring real amateurs; we agreed it looked like fun! It was fun, so we ended up going every month for a couple of years, until we started having home meets. We didn't swap on our first visit, had our first soft-swing on our second visit and our first full swap a couple of visits after that. Rose wanted to take her time, her main worry was that I (G) would go off her when I saw her fucking another man, she needn't have worried as I absolutely love it!

Swinging really works for us, been together 13 years now and swinging for almost all of that time, still very much in love and never felt any temptation to fall in love with anyone else. The vanilla friends who know we swing can't understand it, Rose was telling a girlfriend what a club visit entails and she said "you do THAT with Geoff watching?" in amazement.

We had been together for some time and got chatting about stuff we had done before we met and I admitted to (steve ) having ffm a few times in my younger life. Then our lass admitted to having a bi encounter some time before we met. It was a long drive to Glasgow and back in the day but by the time we got home the search for a suitable site was on the cards

After, about 13 years after to be precise. We'd chatted about threesomes or moresomes a few times over the years but never really took it too seriously, then one day Clare asked what if we made it real and not just a fantasy? Found our first site a couple of days later.

After for us. We had been together 6 months when Mrs Brum brought up the subject of wanting to have sex with a woman as part of a 3sum. We talked about for a few months before registering on a site and creating a profile. Still looking for the 3sum but have met some great couples over the last 31/2 years.

Elusive be buggered..
After for us... together for 16 years, first dabbled and we started in 2003 or 2002 can't remember exactly when.
We were friends with neighbours, lived in each others' pockets - solid friendship and it happened naturally.
regularly too after the first dabble :sneaky:
Comfortable with who we are and what we do.
16 years in and still like a pair of smitten teenagers. So works for us. :)

I was a swinger before I met my wife. She knew all about me doing it before we even started dating. It was her idea to join me to find a lady/guy/couple for us both to enjoy together so (on another site) we gave it a go as a couple. We tried our local club (The VA) too. Ultimately it didn't work well so we scrapped it.

She has enough trust in me, and an open enough mind, to allow me to carry on (with certain rules in place). I know how lucky I am and if anything that reinforces my love for her.

For me it was something I've always been interested in. My ex and spoke about it before getting together officially and we both got involved.

Now single, it's somethin I've chosen to remain involved in, though mostly with an online presence, but who knows. May meet the right person along the way and get more involved.

Definitely something I would like to stay involved with
