Received? Unfortunately I've been on the receiving end of some vicious threats over the years, to the point I've had to get the police involved (the sods thought I would be too ashamed of my swinging activities to get them involved, boy were they surprised!).
I have however only ever made ONE threat:
Years ago I got close to one particular lady, became fuck buddies for lack of a better word. One day she got some weird idea in her head and told me not to speak to her again, I had no idea why, but respected her wishes. In all we knew each other no more than 9 months. Then I got wind of a rumour about me going round. It led back to this lady who had been going round saying "Oh, don't meet Ahabs. He has an STD he passed to me, and I know 3 other ladies he gave it to". This ofcourse was untrue as (apart form the conveniuence these "3 ladies" remained unnamed even to me) I had all my GUM Clinic results going back before I met her and all clear.
So I simply sent her a message in email stating "You have ONE WEEK to go to the people you spread this rumour to and tell them you made a mistake. After which I will open a forum thread addressing the rumours and posting a picture of my GUM clinic results for the last 12 months, and finishing the post with "So who did she catch an STD from?'".
It had the desired effects as the rumours stopped within the week
Basically, I had nothing to hide, so I had nothing to lose.
