I like to try to please whether I hit the mark is another story 
Its always nice to please but also nice to be pleased to. Personaly i like to please as it makes me feel good as the other person is enjoying it and you dont feel like your flogging a dead horse.

I'd say I get about the same pleasure from giving as recieving but seeing someone squirm and hearing them moan with pleasure give me a great sense of pride.
Oh I love to please and I had a girlfriend who dressed me up and had me please him first. Then both.
I like pleasing because the woman is more likely to please me.
