What's In A Number?

Having a talk with a ex she was curious about how many women I have been with since we split and it sparked my brain working adding up the ladies and couples I have met over the years. I did tell her but it got me thinking of the overall number of different partners I have had since I popped my cherry. And am afraid I lost count bad memory or the fog of alcohol red bull pro plus and other things done in my late teens early twenties. The fact I don't know my number makes me think do you know your number and how Do you feel about it ?

So I'm 37 and years spent in 5 relationships add up to 21 years approx. The college years were a bit wild, maybe slept with 10 then perhaps a couple in between relationships so I've probably had sex with about 20 people

Honestly I'm not bothered about it. I may only have a low number in terms of different people but in my relationships much sex was had

I try not to dwell on such things too much. At the end of the day...in this lifestyle...the numbers will mount up won't they? X

I have had a sheltered life ..... not even double figures .... 7 ..... I may reach double figures by the time I pop my clogs ..... ..... well having said that it’s not looking promising

We do have a tendency to kind of keep a track of things in honesty.
We’re more than aware of how easy it is to lose track of things (after 15 years in the lifestyle) but we’re also not ones to lax either.
So what I’m saying is; for us it’s not about notches or amounts or numbers. But the ones who are in there - all count. You could say in four categories:
Scary.
Shit.
Amazing.

Hell yeah!

Oh and tbh we’re actually very careful. In as much as we won’t jump into bed with just anyone.
There’s peeps around who have swung with more people this year, than we have in two/three

Hmmm, not sure I could put a figure on it - not because I'm some kind of superstud, but there were a few, ahem, 'lost years' where I couldn't vouch for my whereabouts at times

Several during uni years, roughly one a year between then - girlfriends - and when I started going out with my wife. (Was faithful during the engagement and until the marriage was over in fact, if not in name; cf here for more details.)

Quite a few in the early days of my involvement with the scene, but not that many. (And while that was going on, three relatively short term relationships, the last one ending in 2010.)

And none at all the past few years.

I’ve never added them up. I’ve never felt the inclination to.

Well it really made me think since I split with her 10 years ago I have had 4 relationships and multiple partners I can count how many I have been with in the last ten years it really does bump up your numbers being in this lifestyle.
