Hmm I'm not sure I have purchased plenty of of crap over the years. I few years ago now I developed a thing for airfix which was a bit of a waste especially the kits that went unopened.

I think the worst was a car.. We had bought an escort years ago and the day after I had taken it out and the breaks failed as I was going down a hill, got it to the garage and we got rid of it the same day for another escort, I drove this down the same hill and yes the damn thing happened again so I bought an Audi.... Never touch escorts lesson learnt

That is so unlucky. When I was 9, my mum and dad had an XR3i and the amount of crashes it was involved with was ridiculous. Luckily none serious, apart from when the car was rear ended and I was asleep on the back seat and ended up on the floor!I think the worst was a car.. I was obsessed with Cosworths and RS Turbos in the late 90s and they were a nightmare to maintain for my friends. Always summat going wrong, bloody expensive keeping Escorts, pardon the pun!I loved the XR3i... Escorts must have issues though

Oh I've been nagged for years...
I will one day, it will be a full restoration project which I will do and then tune it. Yeah that Escort.. That was a nightmare. I'm a mechanic too, and I bought it from a friend, but it had diesel knock as well as failed brakes? Turned out he messed the pump up during a timing belt change. Asshat.
Hmm I would say petrol (nitro) racing buggy. Was absolutely epic fun, but yeah not good when you're a grown man and you're racing this Nitro buggy up and down the street or in fields, and you hog the controller so the kids don't get a go..
Looking back, I blew £350 for a nitro buggy that I trashed quickly and in reality I was probably too old.
Last pack of condoms for me I think was the worst purchase..... Never got to use them, waste of money as had to chuck them away..... foil got ruptured in me wallet!!!
