I'd say we are very experienced, but that can go against you, you often read the phrase "no hardened swingers please" on profiles.
We will meet anyone, regardless of how new they are, but, with newbies, we try to tie a meeting with them into something else, like an organised social, or a party or club visit, that way, if they are a "no show" (probably due to nerves), then the evening isnt a complete loss. We try to encourage newbies to go to the socials, as there is less pressure, its just an evening (or sometimes its in the day) in a pub or function room, chatting and making friends, this tends to be less daunting, and once they realise people are going to pounce on them as soon as they show up, they relax and join in.

When you say very experienced what does that mean? We’ve been into the lifestyle actively for 16yrs and I still see myself the same person as I was then. I guess what I’m saying is, I don’t understand what the experienced bit refers too and it’s always been something I can’t get my head around but then I’m not the brightest spark ??

Imagine a race circuit, and a driver. If he goes around the track once, you can say he knows how to drive a race car. He is a racing driver. Now imagine him after 1000 laps. He's still the same person, but he has had high speed slides, punctures, probably a few prangs, and he's caning it around the track much faster. He's still "only" a racing driver, but he's experienced, he's learned how to deal with the little "moments" when things look like they are getting a bit out of control, he's learned a few tips and tricks to keeping the car on the track.

I do get that, I really do but I still don’t see how that’s the same for sex! If I wrote experienced swinger then I’d feel a bit of a tit tbh knowing that it’s sex. I don’t know how to explain it and I’m probably not but I just don’t get the term but that’s just me

Think back to your "first time"....I'm guessing it wasnt "all that", was it?
Now, these days, I bet you are much better at getting, and giving, pleasure...thats experience.

Tbh and maybe it’s just us, the experience from our first ever meet to the last have all been different, I really get where your coming from but every liaison we have had have all been a great and have all happened naturally, I guess the same way we as a couple enjoy each other but without love being involved, perhaps it’s about how we all experience this lifestyle and how we approach and enjoy it. I dunno ?‍ I’m waffling ?

Not here so much but on another site labels are a huge thing and from experience a kind of strict swinging code

When we started this journey 16yrs ago we didn’t realise how your time and experience would have such a huge effect on meeting with most refusing to meet newbies due to lack of experience....
We couldn’t even get a conversation started on the site simply because we were new to it all which left us feeling deflated and so angry that a point blank no was frequently used based on this but after some time we got chatting to a lady in Bridgend and she invited us to hers for lunch one afternoon, great we thought...
Well not quite, what happened was a vetting process for her to make a decision on whether or not she would meet us and at the end of this “meeting” she half heartedly said “I would never normally meet newbies as they have no experience but I will”
We learnt very quickly that this was not what we wanted and people who have met me would kind of work out my reaction to such a reply a polite fuck off bitch....

So my question is, do you go by this code and what makes you an experienced swinger?
I would never class us as anything and if you really think about these terms you could argue, we are talking about a sexual experience and genuine people have had plenty of experience in having sex.
I have personally never understood why these terms are used and what relevance they have to something that comes so naturally.
