Blimey, so where does that leave us then? We have (admittedly on maybe only one or two occasions) managed to go to a club, and leave, without even playing with each other!
Its easy to do, you get chatting, make friends, its all going great... and then, suddenly, they are chucking everyone out as its closing time!
( In the interests of re-establishing our "genuine swingers bona-fides" we have also managed to pack out our local club on occasion, and then shag a goodly portion of the attendees!)

If I were to attend d a club it would be more on a social appointment rather than going with the mindset of expectation to play. Failed expectations + disappointment = lousy times. Don't get me wrong if I were to hit it off with the right couple, swingle then maybe I'd indulge. Otherwise I'd be just as happy to enjoy a good chinwag over a drink.

I disagree with that as we have met a lot of people that go to clubs and love to simply watch then go and have fun themselves, I wouldn't say selfish, some just don't want to take the next step

Actually we have done it times. Having driven an hour to a club and found no one either interested in us or the other way round why not have fun together? So we did on more than occasion.
