Ok folks in the news this week STIs are on the increase...
Chlamydia
Gonorrhea
Herpes
Syphilis

As you are aware we always promote safe sex and are supporters of the Higgins Trust, there should be no excuse when it comes to wearing protection, especially in this scene where swingers are given such a bad name for spreading disease..

Stay safe all.. xx

Yes them too, I am still suprised at what I see every day. Why do people think they are safe and not use protection x
Because they think it will never happen to them? Because they have a bag over their heads when the bag should be elsewhere.. ?
I would NEVER meet anyone whom i saw doing bareback.. unless of course it was with their own partners..
I really struggle to get my head around it?!!?? Meh!!

So has anyone ever caught anything?

We know of someone in the scene with HIV and he was happy to pass it about, people would play with this guy and take the chance,

I've never had an STI and don't intend to get one. I was a bit naive at first, but have since wised up and now thankfully most people understand that not wearing a condom is a deal breaker.

Even using protection, I still get checked using the SH:24 kit once a month. In fact I did it today as I always order it on the 1st....

Ditto:
Never caught anything and I don't intend to. I don't think I could ever forgive myself if I did!

Take note peeps, play safe and get tested! There's no better feeling than a negative test result!

I spent 15 yrs working as door staff in nightclubs. Due to the nature of the work I would go every few months and have what I called a 'full mot'. I was mainly concerned about hep c and hiv but since also having bad smear test results it was always worth getting checked for everything.
Thank goodness I did as that was what actually picked up on me having 3 tumours. These were found during a smear test, not cervical tumours but in that region! I continue to get checked regularly. It just makes sense.
It's one of our rules too, no protection then no interaction. It's quite simple.
Anyone who dosnt practice safe sex is a fool to themselves and any potential partner.
You only live once, make it as long a life as possible xx

As has been said before, and I don't want to preach;
We on SS promote sexual health and safe sex. We cannot condone the risking of others through ill-informed choices.
For us we have to promote it and quite simply = no glove no love.
It's irresponsible for us to say otherwise.

We fully endorse sexual health on Social Swinging.
We can not endorse BB Sex even though it's a personal preference... Not here to judge of course, but as a site it is our responsibility to promote sexual health and awareness as much as we possibly can.

There's been a few discussions about this and for us the answer is the same; we have to promote safe sex to avoid STI's et al spreading within the wider community.
Sadly it's STI's and STD's which then stigmatise swingers and this can be avoided by gloving up. :)

But would that not spoil the moment?

Ok if I'm being totally honest here... I like to suck (as people may know  ) and don't like sucking rubber....

There is a risk involved, as everything else, but would it not put people off it if your sucking a condom?
Down to personal preference hun and not for me to say, as said everything carries risks x

This isn't only aimed at sucking cocks... how about when males (and females) are giving each other oral?

I don't think I have ever seen females use protection when receiving orally... the risks are there in both male and female varieties (y)
Agree and down to them x

As a staff member there isn't much more I can add, there is always a risk involved.
There are always going to be a few that think it will never happen to them but it does and the more often they are prepared to gamble the higher the risk to themselves and those they play with.
It's just stupidity to gamble so ask yourself "How well do I really know this person", if you have any doubts you know what to do.

:tiphat:I think it's a matter of responsibility and respect to the person or persons who you are doing it with these days condoms are more sensitive I.E. light ones so a blow job isn't any worse off for ir
