Hi all,

I have been out of the whole meeting anyone scene for quite some time now and I want to get back out there. Anyone else been there before and how did they build their confidence to start meeting people again?

I'd love to offer advice.... but I was always rubbish at going out and meeting people! I used to stand around looking pathetic until someone took pity on me :unsure: It works eventually... but it really is a long game :rofl:

Thanks, That is good advice in its self as I guess it is just getting back out there meeting people. After being in and out of relationships for 23 years I decided to take some time out for a few years and give myself time to find myself. In doing so after 3 years I have lost my confidence although I now want to get back out there and have some fun.:D

Best thing to do is, honestly now, get active, stay active. Allow people to get to know you and you them.
Once people get to know you more, they will want to speak with you and you may pique someone's interest.
Mingling and getting yourself known really is the best thing to do from here.

Thanks again for the advice. A club definitely sounds like a great idea. I am from the south west so probably quite far from you guys. Sorry I have only just had a chance to reply xx

I was a bit like you @Raveylad and was very quiet at the start of joining here. Came back and started joining in the forums. Before I knew it I started to get private messages and mails. In the year I have been a member and got chatting to the amazing people on here I have now had private meets and been to 3 clubs on socials with these guys and have now made genuine friends. As @Admin and all the others say, stay active, get chatting, be respectful and you will very quickly begin to make connections. A big thing that helps is being photo verified. It gives others the confidence that you are who you claim to be. Welcome here and enjoy mate.
