I don't care for ghostly horror but real life horror...
The Hostel ranks as the top for me. Eli Roth (Tarantino's creative partner) made a horror/thriller masterpiece (based on a true story) with that.

I watched both one and two of ginger snaps yesterday, this one is a triology I enjoyed the first one although i have seen it countless times and has a different approach to most werewolf films and the second one still good but lacking a little. however the third one I have only watched a couple of times and although its supposed to be a prequal to the other two its not the best.

Watched the new-ish poltergeist last night again. HRH was scared shitless, I was finding so much of it funny I had to turn away.
I mean, come on, when was the last time you really watched something that scared you/stroked that fear factor?
Okay yes you could say GBBO news on Twitter earlier, but I mean really now?
I think Hacksaw Ridge made me freak a little, but that's not a horror film and that was for various reasons.
I just can't find anything that fucked up or shitty, that it actually moves me in that way.

Most horror doesn't freak me out but the first insidious film, and the first woman in black film did had my light on for several nights

The first Nightmare on Elm St - think it was the first proper horror i ever watched, and probably didnt help i was about 12 but that stuck in my head as i went to sleep for ages.
