What has been your favourite destination so far and why?

Mine was Mexico city 9 years ago during the drug wars..
Dangerous and exhilarating..
Would love to go back but I know it won't be the same..

Not quite what you ask because I've never been but want to go to Thailand. I just know I'll love it.

I did get to spend 9 days on Ascension Island on R&R and 7 weeks in Belize on exercise which turned in to a holiday because the aircraft was U/S so spent all the time in the outlying Cayes. Definitely go back to either places, so chilled.

Without doubt our favourite was the Caribbean a few years ago. We loved it there... stayed in a 5* hotel, all inclusive and were spoilt rotten - HRH for a change more than usual. But we really enjoyed it.
I somehow landed myself a serious situation where I was faced with an assault rifle and shotgun in my face at a cashpoint (as you do)... but aside from that danger the rest was brilliant. x

This might seem a bit weird but a years ago I went to Lincoln for a weekend away (its a surprising nice and pretty place) with a girlfriend, not to go in to things to much we needed up having an apocalypticly bad row unable the storm off we made up, and things were better and happier between us once all those frustrations that bubbled away were in the open.

Well we will be in the Dominican on Tuesday so will let you know how it is.. Although the other islands we were going to have been destroyed.. I am sure we will have a great time though

Yes that's where this happened, but was a good few years ago now. A lot of poverty there too.. but stunning place - if you've never been. yeah the islands have taken a hammering bless.. Enjoy and have fun, spoil yourselves. You thoroughly deserve it xx

Highlights are Berlin for the history, Japan for the different culture, Australia for the utter diversity (been 5 times now and want to go again), New Zealand for the scenery and South Africa for the wildlife. Certainly wouldn't want to go anywhere where we might get shot at like @The_Bibas .

Sounds like great places.. The idea of visiting a place that has 8 out of the 10 most deadly animals in the world... Well that is definitely my cup of tea..
We are planning on an African safari or Indian tour next year.
