Anyone here diagnosed as bi-polar? I'm EXTREMELY bi-polar. When I first got back on my pills after almost 2 years off them, I first stayed awake for 72 hours, then slept for 2 days straight. lol

It is controlled by medication but I do get manic sometimes (more often than the depression stage).

It's definitely one hell of a thing bro..
I don't suffer with it, but have a few friends who do and one in particular has it very very bad..
I even had to sign papers and spent a full day getting him sectioned. Needless to say that was exhausting and heart-wrenching.
I don't envy you, or anyone else who suffers this dreadful illness.

I've had it since my early teens and was officially diagnosed in like 1992. Been taking meds at least 20 years. :( I'm also clinically depressed, paranoid, and suffer from social phobia and Asperger's Syndrome. It's so bad that even with treatment, I still can't work...

I've been sectioned a half dozen times or more. The last time was in 2003. The whole fucking ward had a stomach bug and I caught it and spent about 30 hours shitting and vomiting. I discharged myself after that and things have gradually gotten better esp. since getting with Heather.

I don't suffer with bi-polar but I have depression, social anxiety and Asperger's Syndrome diagnosed in 1996. Also been on meds for around 10 years for severe depression and anxiety. I have my ups and downs, but doubt I'll ever be in a position where I'm well enough to work.
You need a nurse. ;)

Assuming are you not?
Actually, Yes. I know you MTF :)

Fortunatley I've never suffered from depression, yes I have some crap days but thats just normal life. However I do know some people who suffer with bi-polar disorder or depression and I know how it affects their lives and daily routines and it isn't something I'd like to suffer from.

Bi-polar is very difficult to live with yes. I spent all of high school with it to the point where I was kicked out and landed in a mental hospital towards the end of my junior year (1992-1993). I was officially diagnosed at this point. The doctor was stupid tho. lol I saw a shrink starting then and up to 2006, but he was just as bad.

My g/f of 10 years is a better shrink then all of them. I have lost much faith in professional psychotherapy when my last therapist slapped me with a bill and DEMANDED payment or I'd "be sent to collections". Asshole.
