OK guys, just an idea that I want throw out to you all and to get some feedback of interest.

I am thinking of creating an online treasure hunt, which will be run from the chat here on SS.
How will this work? I hear you all asking, well seeing as you are all such an inquisitive bunch, I will impart how I plan to work it.

I will give clues, or a series of clues or riddles that you will need to decipher which if you get correct will lead you to a website. Within the clue will be hints to something contained within the site, such as a picture or something contained within a picture, phrase, word or person which could be the answer. Each question will be on a time limit of say 1, 2 or 5 minutes or whichever seems most appropriate.

So initially, what do you think? Something that you may be interested in? If so please reply below or if you have any ideas which may enhance my proposal, please mention here.

If there is enough interest I will get to work on it and give plenty of notice of the date and time which will be suitable for all.

This sounded fun. Did it ever happen @Kwaka_Rider? :)

It sounds proper brilliant to be honest but I can imagine it would be very difficult to make it 'Google proof'.
I don't think I'm clever enough to do something like this tbh.

You would need to use Google but couldn't use it to work stuff out.
I would design clues that you would need to figure out, (2 or 3 clues within one) once you figured which website to go look at you would then need to figure out the rest of the clues to find a particular feature on that website. So for example the first part would lead you to, let's say Sky News. Then the next part of the clue may lead to a particular page on the site and a third part could be the colour of someone's shirt in a picture.
Not something you could just Google. Especially because the clues would be my own conjur..... Work.

I've got a lot of changes about to occur very soon and a very busy RL personal life period coming up. I'll have to devise this on my phone to start off with but I've got some ideas already.

If you need a hand old bean, you know where we are okay? But otherwise, sounds great. Could be fun!
The difficulty I've got is not having a computer. So if I use my phone or iPad, I have to close down the page and often have to force close it for notifications and chat to reload otherwise it just freezes when I open the page back up, so I will lose what's been said.

Ahh balls. What type is it? I.E Socket type.. 775 etc? I have a few lying around and will gladly ship one to you. Mind, it probably burnt everything else out. Will see if I can knock together one with all the bits I have here. Would that interest you?
I know I have a few quad cores lying around and some DDr-2/DDR-3

Mate you don't need to do that, honestly once I'm back from Thailand I'll be buying a new laptop.
Seriously very generous of you.
