Lol that's our other problem it's a nature reserve so the bird watchers are about with high powered binoculars

I only camp in a tent if there is no other alternative.

I prefer 4 walls, a roof, hot & cold running water, electricity... civilization.

I went on holiday in the US in one of these one year. There was a mix up at the depot and the much smaller RV we rented was accidentally given away... and all they had left was one of these :cool:

Motorhome roll...

The first year I went out to the US (when I went to Burning Man not quite on my own but with a bunch of strangers)... after a week of madness the like of which you have never seen myself and a guy called Danny drove 850 miles to Las Vegas in a much smaller RV

Two nights and a day. Peddle to the metal to get the fucking thing back on time. Completely strung out, Danny driving, slurping energy drinks and 'diet pills' and me on my hands and fucking knees trying to scrub the dust from every surface in the motorhome. All day. All night.

Just after dawn we stopped at the road side for a break. I had a cigarette and Danny put the radio on.

Bizarrely first the tune that played was the God Save the Queen. No words, just music.

And the combination of extreme partying, exhaustion, broken reality and the sudden realisation that I was thousands of miles from home...

And I burst into tears on the roadside.

At the national anthem.
