Yes.

I did this in the pub Friday before last. Was chatting with a friend and her husband, two others join us and begin talking to hubby. We continue. Eventually do the phatic communion/Hi/shake hands with the newcomers and ignore them and go have a ciggie outside.

So my friend then goes on about what a knob one of them - let's call him Mark - is. Slick, single, ladies man, fancies himself. Whatever.

Anyway. Long story short, I bet her that I could get a date from Mark by the end of the evening. And I went to work, for the shear hell of it, the master of ambiguity, seducing but not... this straight guy.

My friend is like, What are you doing??! Are you flirting with him?!

So yeah, phone number, address, commitment to meet, psychological profile. The works. 35min.


Left the pub with my friend and said, "See, told you."

Her husband: "What are you two on about?"
