Appolgies if this is a little vague but my friend has a terminal tumour and has just asked me to take on a clubs web site for him. From what I understand the server is based in the US but I have no idea of the architecture at the moment but I don't think this is an issue anyway. The problem is, as far as I can understand from what he is saying, it still uses Frontpage and frames. I don't yet know how many pages the site contains, possibly 50 -100 including the frames

So the question; I need to update the site but obviously FP/Frames is not an option. Has anyone migrated/updated/imported a FP web to current standards, indeed can it be done or do I need to start the whole thing again from scratch? And any thoughts on what would be the best sw to manage a small web site?

Drop me a PM Mr T with all the info and the site links, what you need, what the requirements are and what needs to be done.
Not a problem. (y)

Thanks Admin. He has a brain tumour so it's difficult to get any info as he is losing his memory and getting confused. I will try to pull as much info as I can.

On a more productive note (site wise) using frame redirects are far from ideal and are not current standards.
I'd be very surprised to see modern browsers handle this correctly as the system is heavily exposed to exploitation.

I suggest starting over. Frames are so 90's. hehehe Never used Frontpage before, and I write all my code by hand anyway, unless using a pre-written script such as what runs this forum.

There are a lot of such scripts that make creating web sites much easier. I also use Social Engine 4.x for my other site.
