We're always happy to help and our dm is always open if you want discuss personal things away from the thread xxx

@Baldrick my DM is open to you

Thanks all  Much obliged :tiphat:.

As I say I will have a read through the site forums later and revisit some old threads that I've probably skipped over in the past.
From there I'll probably have more questions and DM you for your individual perspectives if that's ok? (y)

Integrating BDSM into everyday life can be as tricky or as smooth as possible.

I know some people who slowly integrated small bits at a time.

I jumped in both feet first. I had a descreet ankle collar. The only area that was agreed off limits was cadet life for me personally

Thankies darlings!

@Baldrick we are happy to answer any questions we can for you.
Thanks all. I will get back to some of this later and catch up with Balders too. I'm very sure he's grateful for the offer of help. Thanks everyone x

Agreed. Some (most) of this you won’t really understand until you’re into it and living it.
I’ve written plenty (okay loads!) of articles and threads about the lifestyle and will gladly help discuss things if you wish. We live it 24/7 as a few people know. Not trashy or stereotypical leathers and collars, but @Pearls is my submissive and I am her Sir from morning until night - 8 days a week.

The thing about D/s, M/s or indeed any other kind of BDSM relationship is that they are as varied as the people wishing to be involved in one.
I feel that whilst reading about the "rules" involved in any relationship of this type from online "experts" can be somewhat informative and maybe offer certain guidelines they should not be taken as definitive.
My own feeling is that providing all is safe, sane and consensual then people should do as they please without feeling they must conform to any BDSM stereotype.
I realise this is not exactly helpful if you're looking for a straightforward black and white answer but, as you have observed, some of the "etiquette" suggested online (particularly when talking about TPE (Total Power Exchange)) are extremely impractical for the majority of those looking at such a relationship.

My biggest fear is abuse of power and more specifically me inadvertently abusing that power. I still haven't had a chance to properly read through the BDSM threads cos of personal things getting in the way at the moment but I'll get there and will probably have questions when I do.

If you fear abusing your power, then you are very unlikely to do so, or if you make a mistake it'll be fixable and you'll recognise it yourself, so can do the responsible thing and make amends with the person.

No need to rush, we will still be here when you have questions xxx
