Okay so on the back of this post When You Know.. I mentioned that;
making sure that if invited to your home (which is really how we do things as it's more personal)
So for you, are you comfortable having liaisons at home, or prefer a hotel.
Both have pros and cons. I am sure this has been a thread before, but for love nor money I can't find it..
Anyway, both have their own merits but which is preferable for you? :) x

Home is always more intimate. But having teenagers at home makes it tricky.
Also for a first encounter a Hotel has the advantage of neutral ground so all involved are on a level playing field. XxX G
Yes, we know the feeling.. having no family as such can make things really, really tricky too. But being as open & welcoming as possible takes the edge of that away for us really. Definitely tricky both.. :(
Yes agreed, neutral playing field is good.
But then, when you know, you know... you know? :D Agreed 100% x

Never go or come with expectations. Ever.
takes a lot of tidying to make it presentable befor a meet :(
Surely, every, single, person, is worth the effort?
It's cleaning & tidying up man. :D

It takes us 3 fekin days here, to get perfection for company.. Seriously. :p

Our best experiences have all been spur of the moment organic things that have just happened. Although some planned one have been good, just not as memorable ones when all involved just know and things flow from nothing to everything without any planning. Having said that there have been times when one of us thinks things are about to happen and another person with us has thought things were about to happen then in an instant things change and play time gets forgotten about as the wine and conversations take over the whole evening

Home is more relaxing and intimate but not always achievable. Hotels can feel a bit seedy and cold sometimes (n)
A few drinks in a pub/club/bar before hand helps though ;)

I guess it depends on how long you have been chatting on line or on text before you meet. If it’s been a while then by the time you meet you already feel close to the other people involved (y)

Yeah, quite seedy.. A means to an end, a necessity - but a seedy kind of callgirl thing about it.

Hmm... to a degree, but you still have to checkout by 10. :p

Yeah agreed... it's all about the chemistry and build up I guess. :)

Flippancy aside though, we like to host at home given the chance, but its very rare we can get the place to ourselves (either jointly or severally). Mind you, when that happens we do try to make the most of it ;)
Naturally hotels usually work best when we meet singly, especially as we both travel for work at times, but they don't have to be "seedy". If you're after a 90-minute bunk-up in "Mrs Bog's' Backstreet Bargain B&B" then that's likely what you'll get (which can be fun at times, but better try dayuse.com), but you see we're romantics at heart and believe its well worth paying for somewhere special, then taking the time and trouble to enjoy it properly.
Her Ladyship and one paramour for instance have a favourite place in Docklands, with a restaurant overlooking the Thames and beds that cross several timezones. Personally I like Stay City appartments where they can be found, as they offer the opportunity to shut out the world and entertain properly, without schedule or time limits.
I guess we think of a meet like a short holiday from Real Life....
....Do you like to spend all your holidays at home?

Not sure about the concept of hotels being seedy ...every meet I’ve had has been in a hotel ...seedy gives the impression that money is changing hands which is a whole new debate ...

We don't have a choice but to use hotels as there's too many people in the house with 5 adults living here .We barely get our sex life apart from weekends and odd occasions in the week when everyone is out. Definitely don't find it seedy though.hopefully in a year or so the grown up kids will be gone and we will be able to entertain at home but until then we will have to stick with hotels .W and m..xx:sneaky::sneaky:(n)
