I'm a practical rather than romantic person, so to me it's just another way to fleece you out of your hard earn cash. I particularly dislike the fact that they charge so much more just because it's Valentine's Day. You should show your love every day, not just once a year.
As a single male I don't have to worry about Valentines Day 
Though I will be making the most of Valentines celebrations at Townhouse on Friday 12th and at Cupids on Saturday 13th. Sunday 14th I think could well be a day of rest

Mixed feeling on this, the idea itself is great but as @Scrumps has said it's also a commercial rip-off

It is romantic but, yes, it is a commercialised rip-off, where couples are almost held to ransom by card companies, florists et al.
Lisa and I get round this by making our own cards for each other every year.
It'll only work until the sticky-backed plastic sellers cotton on though!

I'm single so I'm doing anything but if things were different I would be preparing a candle lit dinner and white roses (I'm too much of Yorkshire for red), yeah I'm a soppy old romantic at heart.

Never bothered too much with Valentine's. Another commercialised day.
I don't care for it at all. If you love someone you can and should show it any time, not just one one day because its the socially expected thing

Yes we do.
Ahhh we show & tell each other that we love each other every day, about 40+ times a day.. Yes we do add a little extra on Valentine's but it's also our wedding anniversary on the 13th too, so we make a full two days' worth of drinks, nibbles and lotsa lurve
