I come from a family of hairdressers, genuinely. Most of my family was in the business.

Genuine hairdressers’ superstition back in the days of handwritten appointment books at reception: you must never shut the appointments book. If you start a new one, the new one must be open before you shut the old one. If you close the current appointment book… you might never have a reason to open it again.
