Do you think this lifestyle is changing? Is it now having been exposed so much, part of the norm and maybe accepted more in society than previous times?

As a result, have you seen a change in your time as a swinger(s)?
I think it's fair to say we definitely have. Some for the better, some not so. There's far more fakes, catfishing etc than ever before - but I also note more time-wasters than previous.

Is that due to being more mainstream now than ever so it draws in fantasists?
We can discuss without being rude, so let's keep it lighthearted & friendly? x

Obviously I’ve only been doing this for what is a relatively short time , but can’t say I’ve noticed much change, seem as it was when i first joined ...
there have been some press coverage, but why should it be pushed under ground , people have sex all the time ...
I guess the internet doesn’t help with fakes and time wasters and the like because it’s easy to hide behind a computer and never show your face ...

Totally agree with @Pearls Comments regards how the life style as changed. Having been on the scene for 7 years, we are finding a lot more fakes, and a vast increase in time wasters. It’s becoming extremely more difficult to find like minded couples to meet. Over recent months we have tried endless times to arrange a meet, only to be let down or had our time wasted with endless chat, only to be ignored once we ask for a telephone conversation and even blokes on some sites.
It’s getting to the point we’re we are considering yet again to walk away, but this time for good.

Life has changed so everything which is in our lives has changed. I have been on the scene for fifteen years so I could live the old lifestyle and I'm living this one. As for me swinging scenario has lost many real swingers and has gotten other ones who don't know exactly the swinging souls and are fake. Actually I believe that real swingers are among us so It's possible to find them among people who play on the swinging scenario and It might be easier than before because now we have nice website like SS...You have just to spot them. Mind makes the difference. I guess many of you are like-minded people and I hope to meet you up soon.

You will see me on Saturday the Ist of Feb and you will see I am not a fake or a fantasist or here to hide behind a screen, one thing I am is a honest person and say it how it is and thrive on my humour.
I was a happy child, more of tom boy to be honest, sex was taboo, once I tried it I wanted more, a friend of mine introduced me to swinging and never looked back.
Nothing much has changed for me sex life is once or twice a year, am I gagging for it, sure at times, still renewed some toys for christmas, tried to buy clothes that fit a fuller figure lady, some do some don't.
You will see that I am not a robot nor a rakey fakey come on here fantasit although I do like fanta!

In life people can also be fake and tell stories to try and win people over it happens in all walks of life, people have sex all the time, no I don't, would like to have some this year but I am not holding out nor here with expectations. I expect nothing from this site or anyone best way to think because if we all keep expecting we got despondent. people were fake with me in the club
normal club not swingers
been to one club not sure how to take it
think I was with wrong person but hey life is about taking risks and I take them when given

I was not told to lie
nor be dishonest

people come and go in my life as well as here or work

You know my friend, I feel it's definitely becoming increasingly challenging to sort the wheat from the chaff. That is to say, it's harder now to find the genuine friendlier type of swingers than what it used to be.
I think we know why that is and it's because it's now more mainstream, apps for everything and every fetish. "Real swingers' photos" etc. So it's opened it up for porn over swingers having fun.
That's par for the course though (in other words, you will get that anyway = always one's who want to watch).

But I think also that it's fluctuating too, for so many various reasons.
When we first started, like you it was about 20 years ago, now things have changed considerably. Some for the better, some maybe not so... So I suppose that is subjective too.
I can't say for us specifically what has changed altogether, but maybe it's ALL of it because now it's been more fetishised/porn driven etc.

Also I think clubs are getting quieter aren't they? So why is there a change on such a larger scale. Could do a side by side- site by site comparison, but the same would apply; it's just bigger numbers but the percentages will be the same, or roughly equivalent.


I think you're right there too ^^ you have to spot them and be able to distinguish between real, fake, players and wannabe's.

I saw a program earlier this week in which some teenagers commented that quote "having sex with your friends is just one of those thjngs". She as going to have sex with a male friend for his birthday it turns out, then go back to just being friends. Another in the interview chipped in with "Well it's just sex, we do it with whoever we feel like, it's normal".
My point here is that if this is how teens see sex swinging may become more the norm in the future. Perhaps marriage will be just of a commitment to a partner but not exclusivity for very many. Are we looking at a future with more than one person living together? Will you come home from work and instead of hiding an affair with your secretary hang you hat up and put your briefcase down and say "darling, there's a new girl at work, she's really hot, I think we might have her for sex on saturday"...

Oh! Please don't misunderstand me. I totally agree on the age thing. My observation is more to say that our generation may be the last to view swinging as a lifestyle choice in the way we see it. The net has and is changing the world.

TOTALLY agree. I think we consider the implications and the joys. The influx recently of fakes and time wasters might be to due to how the net has made sex appear as a sort of game not an exchange of intimate understanding.

Totally agree. We have noticed the change when visiting clubs. A lot of the younger ladies make so much effort in their outfits,, make up etc But they never leave the bar area unless they go to the smoking area. It’s as if it a different way to spend a Saturday night out with friends. You can tell, it’s look at me, but you feel they don’t really swing.

No, I think more a case of either 1. I've come to be part of this, but in a way that feel like the centre of interest and in control (but I'm not going to join in) or 2. Look at me look at me (damn these people really do go gave sex... HELP!).
At liberty elite I did chat to a WG who had come along. She said this was her treat, by day she serves men, but club night was when she came to play with the ladies. Her way of having a sex life outside of erm... work.

I agree and I think it’s down to the life style being so mainstream now, we have apps for dating which you can meet just for sex, the term swinging isn’t so under ground like it used to be, discretion is just a made up word now for most. This scene is not what it used to be that being on line and clubs. I would say etiquette plays a big part too. People don’t know or understand the aspects and treat it as a dating app or the other side is no effort is made any more in meeting, it’s just the fantasy of being a swinger. Things changed between 5-10 years ago. Where the future is? Bleak I would say.
To bring this back to where it was, it needs to go back under ground but for only those who are genuine and fully understand it. I can count on one hand of how many we know that grasp the whole concept.

I recently went to a swing club Eureka in Fawkham and it is Penniswood that got me giggling on the way
A swinging buddy took me it is long way and off the beaten track so car is needed or a minibus so yes that was a change for me as not been that far to a club in my life hour and a half there and same coming back.
I must have gone on a quiet night
all the tables were booked
it is always wise to book a table so I was told
you could bring your own drink
so hardly anyone was at the bar
will I go again, maybe but it was different it was my first time there
yes, I am a member of it now
that is no different to being a member of a few clubs in my youth x x

Totally agree about clubs. As I wrote a few months ago also in Italy It's the same. I noticed that the more a club is fashionable the less It is transgressive. Consumers, I mean most of them, usually dance, drink, talk and show off to other ones on the dancefloor, but don't play and swap. Only few people are proper swingers. Some years ago instead most of them were real swingers and everyone played. Anyway I found out one club in Turin which is less fashionable than the ones in Milan but most of the consumers are genuine swingers and play and swap in the right way so I usually join it. Moreover I love visiting clubs in France which are better than in Italy, in fact people play and are less snobbish and also the cost of admittance is less expensive. This is only my experience.
