When I was active, I treated people’s preferences as gospel.
If they weren’t looking for somoene my age, say, I wouldn’t dream of contacting them, and would double check it hadn’t been a mistake, that they’d noticed my age, if they contracted me.
If their profile said they wanted someone heavily into BDSM, then yes, that’d put me off because I’m really not.
(And, of course, I’m straight, so any coupled where the fella was bi was a non-starter.)
BUT if their preference was for a sexual position I don’t like, or they say they didn’t like a position I did, not a problem; we just wouldn‘t do that.)
