"swingers" wanting some "reward" for meeting is not something new. I remember from my pre-internet days using contact magazines and getting the replies that where often seeking to profit in some way. Varying from the up front I/we want X amount cash, can you get a hotel room, an oh by the way we want it to ourselves when the meet is over. To the more subtle hint that a "present" would be appreciated.
The internet in the early days there was so much "free stuff" often ripped from paysites and shared on free sites it was a porn lovers heaven. It didn't take long for those on the swinging scene seeking to profit realize thay had a potentially huge audience and new tools to extract money from the unwary, gullible and desperate.
Dodgy swingers sites, where they wanted you to subscribe "so you could get the full benefit of the site" in reality the only benefit was to lighten your bank balance. I do recall one site where the owner was prosecuted for fraud, he was hoping his victims would be to ashamed to complain, but some did and trading standards became involed and he stood trial and ended up doing time.
Pay to view picture hosting sites serve only to make money for the content providers and hosting company, any so called "swinger" using these sites in my opinion is not a swinger.
Same appies to the cam chatrooms.
Swinging can at times be an expensive hobby, Socials requiring an overnight stay in a hotel, fuel and travel expenses especially where long distances are involved all add up. I've nothing againsted people trying to mitigate these expenses eg. room/car share etc. but if I was looking to pay I would be using a swingers site to find an Escort.
Before I finish I'll pose this question. Can an Escort be a swinger?
