I've ghosted loads of people.I blocked most of my w/a contacts.I also deleted all my other social chat apps,about 3/4 months after joining here. Ignorant yes,but necessary for me to do x

I’ve only just found out what ghosting means so no ?
So not related to the life style per say, just before finding this site though, I tried to a date a girl I talked to online, we met up, was my first like actual date ever going to see a lady all my other relationships had arisen out of school/college etc so not like dating-dating going out to dinner etc, and she ghosted me after. It's not a great feeling, more the not knowing what I did wrong.

I have been ghosted on online dating sites and it is not a nice experience. I believe you can fizzle out conversations or politely say you are not interested but to belatedly ignore someone can knock their confidence especially if you felt you had a good rapport going or had met them.
I dont think we've ever deliberately ghosted someone, but I think it has probably happened at some point...and we have definitely been ghosted ourselves.

Not done it myself but I have been, guys don’t like being turned down. One guy here I thought was tidy, asked to meet on that day which was short notice and he never replied back to me.

I'm not 100% that we have been ghosted tbh, we are very upfront and say for example that we can't and won't meet at the drop of a hat so that tends to sort the wheat from the chaff so to speak. Have we ghosted people? No not in the purest form, we (I) have ignored messages simply because they lack any originality or imagination, they are the stereo typical lazy copy and paste examples we've seen countless times before: is that ghosting or simply being selective? I'm not sure I know the answer. (P)

I have recently experienced this ,Went from messaging every day ,picture swaps and video calls to replies becoming more and more less frequent ,having to instigate conversations between replies ,when video calls mentioned the subject changed ,being told “I’m tired and off to bed now“but still seen in conversation 2 hrs later ,Then messages not being read ,conversations being left without reading the messages ,It gets to a stage when you think why should I bother
Also being unfollowed but my profile being viewed regularly (5 times within an hour the one day,week before last) then blocked for not wanting to be drawn into a “Cock fight“ to be mocked again
