Gas , i think you call it petrol, seems to go up hourly.
Im probably going to have to buy one more tank of oil to heat the house with this winter. I may have to mortage the house to pay for it.
Worse part is, the US has more oil in the ground than almost any other country.
But politics doesnt allow us to use that oil .

I’m paying £1.50 a litre of unleaded, an increase of 40p in the past few months. As for our Electricity and gas which runs the house, we’ve doubled from £100 to £200 a month.

I think it’s just the start it’s likely to just get higher and higher as the year goes on … Diesel here is nearly £1.60 a litre won’t belong until it hits £2 especially if we keep turning away tankers from the refineries…. Like cutting your nose off to spite your face …

If my math is correct, to put it into a way an American would understand, your price for unleaded went up 40%.
That is about the same increase we are seeing.
I haven't gotten any oil to heat the house with recently, but it has probably doubled.
Electric rates are regulated by the government so we dont see increases right away. They have to be approved the government..
But, im sure they will sky rocket soon
If i did this right, I am paying 0.81 GBP for a litre of regular gasoline.
$4.30 USD for a US gallon.
A litre is about 1/4 of a US gallon.
And a GBP is about 3/4 of a USD.
Maybe somebody smarter than me can correct my math.

I’ve just been past a few Petrol Stations and Diesel this morning is between £1.75 and £1.80 a litre now (… Petrol is around £0.10 per litre less than Diesel ) that’s an over night increase … so if you’re paying £0.81 per litre that’s really cheap it hasn’t been that low here for years ..

...ridiculous!!Being in the midlands, i'm kind of floating between SW prices and yours. Think it was £1.53 yesterday.
I'm gonna have to stop looking at the big price board when i roll onto the forecourt xx

Diesel by us is ranging between £1.57 and £1.67 at the moment. Normally we would let it run down before filling, but I keep telling hubby to top it up before it goes any higher. xx M
I think the US has always been cheaper than the UK because, we used to, produce most of our own and we can import from canada or south America a lot cheaper than you can import.
But, regardless of what the total is, it is twice what it was a few months ago and that hurts the same whether it hurts in USD, GBP, gallons or litres.

£200 = $262.15
£1 = 100 pence
At the moment iam paying £1.64 per ltr of diesel as asda and tesco pumps are empty both have petrol but no diesel

We have banged loads of money into the gas and electric meter so we're OK for about 5 months now.. W... ??

I still have 12 months on my old fixed tarrif and hopefully I will still pay the same as I am now ....... unless there is some get out clause for them in the small print.
