OK, I know, I know... another bloody music thread..... but do you ever wake up in the morning with an earworm? In case you're thinking of some horrible science fiction scenario, I should explain that an earworm is one of those tunes that is stuck in your head and just won't go away and, often, you're not quite sure where it's come from. I think that some of mine have come from my radio alarm playing before I'm fully awake (Chris Evans has got soooo much to answer for - and Top Gear hasn't even started yet! :D) but, other times I cannot for the life of me think where I would have heard the offending song.
My most recent one (and this was definitely the ginger one's fault) was the vile 'Wannabe' by the Spice Girls  - and, even more annoyingly, only snippets of it got stuck, going round and round in my brain like some evil racing car. Every now and again "Nowwwwww heeeere's the story from A to zeeeee...." would pop into my head or "rilly rilly rilly wanna zigazigaaaaaahhhhh" would interfere with a perfectly coherent thought!

Feckin days it was in there too!!

So, go on... what are some of yours?

I wake up to "from Eden" by Hozier my alarm choice so no worms in my ears ... Then I listen to Radio X so no Spice Girls to assault my senses but I have to say I do have a soft spot for " Gingers" the female sort !! (y)

I find that the only cure is to actually listen to the song.
I refused to do that for the Spice Girls.

It took me three days to give in.

I don't know it ... Who's it by ?? I am intrigued ....:)
It's by a group called DNCE. It was originally going to be called sex on the beach after the cocktail but apparently there were some translation issues with the Swedish record producers and it ended up with its current title.

It doesn't have to be an alarm clock thing; sometimes TV ads can get you. A few years ago, I realised I was humming a tune that I couldn't remember the name of or where I'd heard it. After a while, I remembered some lyrics from it. .. "ooooh Bodyfor-orm, Bodyform for yooooooouuu!"
I was horrified!

OK, I'm resurrecting this thread, just to share the fact that, for some bizarre reason, I have got Mud's 'Lonely This Christmas' going round my brain, like some malevolent virus. It's bloody summer!!!!

Omg, was thinking of starting a thread like this, because the other day I watched Rita, Sue and Bob too and had the gang bang song in my head ever since and then @Scrunchy&Muffet started a thread with the same title, so it won't go!
every time i watch that film that tune gets stuck in my head, love the film but could do without that tune
