Becoming a swinger...

It's hard to believe now, when I rate myself more as a kinkster than a swinger, but I actually started out as a swinger - and that in itself was pretty coincidental.

You see, it all started with a conversation with a now ex-boyfriend about my sexuality. I sat him down shortly after we decided we were in a relationship and told him that in no uncertain terms was I going to compromise wanting to be free to explore my sexuality, and if he had any reservations about it he should tell me. Well, it turned out he didn't - but not just because he wanted to see me getting down and dirty with another woman. "Sure," he said, "that would be hot, but I'm bisexual too, and I've never been able to explore. Maybe we could do that together?"

That started a whole thing. We joined one website after another, exploring... well, how to explore, I suppose. Our first visit to a club was interesting - two 20 year olds fresh on the scene invited a lot of attention! We turned up, having scoured the website and swinger forums, still unsure what to expect. Needless to say, we started going to the club every so often. We met lots of people and had lots of experiences, some of them fun and wonderful, others definitely not so. There were highs and lows, of course. We both learnt a lot. We eventually broke up for unrelated reasons after about 6 years together. I don't think he ever did really explore his bisexuality though... ?

I fully explored my bi side many years ago !!
It was fun and ok but not for me long term !
You will never know till you give it an uninhibited go !

Great read. I can’t wait to expire, open minded, nervous and not sure where to start. But it’s something I’ve wanted to do for years. Now I’m single I can and meet like minded people. Please don’t tag me with the single guy status. I am really looking forward to exploring everything and it’s nice to read that everyone has to start somewhere x

A big welcome to both of you, and thank you for your comments. Hopefully you'll find as myself and others have - that the community here is very friendly and welcoming. Don't hesitate to ask if there's anything you need, we won't bite.

Thank you. I'm glad the point of my post came across

As for not tagging with the single guy status - I do try to wait until someone shows me how the behave to try to formulate judgement, so I guess, don't act like an asshole and we won't believe you're an asshole? ?

Having only joined yesterday I'm taking it steady. This piece has many similarities to how I first became involved with swinging with my ex. It was a fun journey and I'm hoping to recapture some of the fun and friendship I felt back then.
Thank you for commenting.

Slow and steady wins the race, for sure. I've found friendship here, and if I can find it, anyone can!

Really good to read, thank you for your honesty.

Unfortunately for me I only started to explore my sexuality later in life. I was exclusively with a couple in a MFM trio for ten years, though. It was absolutely wonderful. My venture into the exploration of my bi side has been much more recent. The problem is that I do not find men in the least bit attractive, so kissing, cuddling and caressing a guy is something of a turn-off for me. But (and no, I can't work this out, either) I have no problem with contact with a cock, even to the point of giving oral sex (to completion, too). I like to give pleasure so if a man is good enough to lend me his wife/girlfriend why shouldn't I try to give him the ultimate sexual pleasure, which is an orgasm, too? Oh, I'm fine with his cum, too.

So this is me exploring my (bi-)sexuality, and at my age too! It proves that we never stop learning, even about ourselves.

LadyLily - Thanks again for your post.
